As most Olimonster enthusiasts will know, the little man is a bit of an engineer. He loves building towers with anything, including books, bottles and - his favourite - blocks. He was particularly proud of this creation, so I offered to document it for him. PLUS! Bonus surprise pics at the bottom :)

Happy Olimonster
I've been getting some pretty strong psychic vibes urging me to post another blog, so I felt almost powerless to stop myself from collecting and presenting the following series of cute pictures. Message received. Enjoy :)

Being Oli

What's Oli been up to?
Yes, it's been a while, so I thought I would give everyone an update on what the little man has been up to.
He has been working on his knowledge of letters and numbers by watching and chanting along with a 'Sesame Street' DVD. He's very good at picking out letters, now, and happily shouts 'A!' when he sees a sign with the letter A on it. We're not too surprised, to be honest, as his Mum and Dad are both word-nerds.
He has just been sweet-talking everyone who will listen at the markets today, and getting a lot of free fruit and generous smiles from (mostly female) store-holders. He made friends with some lovely older ladies and showed them every single letter on the coffee sign (that he knew) whilst we had coffee with Eva and Nim (and little Leo).
The other day I took him for a ride on the train through the city and out the other side to Prahran, where he inspired spontaneous and synchronous 'ahhhhhh's' from a group of private school girls on the train when he stuck his head out of his pram, waved and said 'hi'.
He's a very sociable and friendly guy, and not many people can resist when he smiles and waves at them :)
Here he is now in a random assortment of pictures...

Adventures in yoghurt
Oli has a great love of food, especially fruit and peanut butter, but lately he's been eating a lot of yoghurt - on his own. We decided to let him go nuts on a bowl of yoghurt and he very much enjoyed it, as you can see from this series of pictures. He's not the greatest at getting it in his mouth, but he's learning and I've been very proud of his progress.
On a totally different topic, Oli has had the fortune of playing in the big park up the road with mates Pete and Kaya, on one of Pete's rare days off. There was a lot of Dad pride, and some very flushed, tired faces when it was time to go home. I've thrown in a couple of pictures I managed to get; it was difficult, he's pretty quick on his feet, and when there's a playground and other kids around he tends to get a little manic, but I managed to snap one or two of him on the equipment :)
