Third Birthday Exclusive

As most of you know, our little man had his third birthday at the beginning of the month. He was very lucky to receive birthday wishes from many people (you know who you are: thank you), and enjoyed his special day immensely. Here are some of the more festive parts...

Pre-present opening time.
Showcasing his new monkey backpack and toolkit during a pause in the paper-ripping.
I wonder if he's having a good birthday? Yep, nothing to worry about there...
Back to it, uncovering new treasures...
Cake break! Carrot and walnut with cream cheese icing...mmmmmm

Getting ready to measure up for a job with his ruler from his new toolbox.
Checking out the other tools...hmm, I've seen Daddy use a couple of these....
The day after his birthday: still fixing his truck with his tools.
Happy Birthday Oliver :)

The Oli bumper holiday extravaganza!

Well, I've saved up a few pictures from the holiday season so everyone can see what the Monster has been up to. He had a great Christmas day filled with presents, food and karaoke. Unfortunately we didn't get any snaps of the young man with microphone in hand, but those who have seen the video footage are giving him rave reviews.
Without further ado, here are the best snaps of the season...

Oli got his first present on Christmas Eve: His first set of cars! (Thank you Sarah Claus.)
Christmas morning: Time to break out the presents...(thanks Grandma, Granddad and Great Gran for this colourful spread)

Ripping into them after a bit of encouragement.
Happy as a...kid at Christmas.
Some awesome woollen finger-puppets from Ian: Bat and Echidna. (Not pictured: Parrot.)

Christmas Take 2 with Nana - The giant keyboard. Jealous? Yeah you are...
Little man putting on an Ice Hockey display for us in his Toronto Leafs jersey :)
And here we are a day later, still in his Leafs jersey. He wore it to bed, too.
Just before we managed to get it off him and into the wash...
Face-painting! Thanks to Aunty Louise for that one.
Checking out his 'Slim Dog' face in the mirror.
Kitty keeps a pretty close eye on the Olimonster...
The Children's Gallery at the Melbourne Museum: communing with the sea creatures.
The biggest caterpillar that this little man has ever seen; imagine the size of THAT butterfly...
Hanging with Dad in the Rainforest at the Melbourne Museum.
Oli loves the Museum.
Happy New Year
